Installing the system
Instal was very easy because house has underfloor and is only a few years old so no major changes were needed to the existing heating system. The ASHP has replaced the oil boiler and is at same location. The pipes from the ASHP to the water cylinder needed replacing to a larger diameter. The Water cylinder was replaced with a ASHP compatible unit but this went in same location. We still have individual thermostats in each room. The install took less than three days and we were not inconvenienced during the process. The system took about 24 hours to come up to operating temperature.
Living with a heat pump
We have had no problems. It has proved to be cheaper to go back to my Energy suppliers EV tariff rather than use the Aira one.
