Our 4 bedroom semi-detached house is a new build from 2012 so the insulation didn't require any upgrading. 5 out of 17 radiators were sized up during the install, and the hot water cylinder replaced with a larger one in our airing cupboard. The team was very self-directed although I was on hand expecting constant queries. The hot water was available via the immersion heater by the first evening and heating was on by the afternoon of the fourth day. Commissioning was completed by lunchtime on the fifth day.

We have mostly used the hot water as we only had a week or so of cold weather after our install. We have found it much less wasteful to store hot water at 45 degrees as we do not have a very high water consumption as a household. We heat water for a couple of hours overnight during the cheaper hours. The heating at the end of March was more than adequate and we've found we prefer the slower, gentler heating to keep the temperature steady. Hot water/heating schedules and temperatures are straightforward to adjust on both the app and the controller in the airing cupboard.
