Aira air source heat pump in a 1983 - 2002 property

About me
I was annoyed at the boiler and blasts of heat. Plus the boiler was getting on a bit. So I figured time for a change and am very happy with the heat pump. Happy to promote them as they are better for the environment & actually heat the home better than a boiler in my opinion.

Visiting my heat pump
Feel free to drop me an e-mail to arrange a look & to see how it all works. I work Mon-Fri 8-5 so weekends would be the best time. If you are interested, after visiting I can send you a referral link too for money off your heat pump :)

Air source heat pump

Installed by Aira

EPC rating: B

Cost of energy bills per year: 900

Installing the system

It took a week to install the heat pump. It was done in early December 2024 and the installers were brilliant. Very easy to work with and were respectful of the house! Did a cracking job. Be prepared for a week of disruption however as it is quite a big job and there can be some noisy bits depending where the kit has to go.

Living with a heat pump

It's been brilliant! The house over winter was always the same constant temparature. Water does not have to fire the boiler up. Now heading into summer my energy bill is lower than the same time last year. The app that comes with the heat pump makes everything genuinely so easy and intuitive. I like seeing the data on energy useage by the system and how it optimises itself.

Accessing the venue

Monday to Saturday there is permit parking only where I live. So there is a risk of a traffic warden coming round. However if we are outside looking at the heat pump I can probably convince them to go away! There would be room on the drive for 1 car if needs be provided it isn't huge.
