Installing the system
This host hasn't added a description of installing their system.Living with a heat pump
8.5kw Mitsubishi Ecodan with a Joule 200l tank. The system is slightly cheaper than gas to run using around 3,000kwh per year to heat the house to 18.5 degrees and hot water (we used to use around 18,000kwh in gas for the same) and is run 24/7 on 'weather compensation' (no thermostat) during the winter months. We adjust the heat down a couple of degrees at nighttime for comfort. We don't have the recommended 300m of insulation in the loft and our house is a bit drafty but we do have double glazing and cavity wall insulation and all works great!
