Installing the system

No other changes made - we were planning on replacing our boiler as it was 17 years old and we also wanted to move the boilers location as it was taking up valuable space in our kitchen. So putting the heat pump in instead accomplished both of these. Install took 5 days as estimated by the installer, no heating for days i think.
I sourced the radiator for the radiator upgrade myself and the installer installed them for me which saved a lot of money.

Living with a heat pump

We have really enjoyed it - we used to only put the boiler on a few hours a day and the house would cool down quickly once it went off. You  cant really do that with the heat pump - it has cost more to run - probably 30% more  but we had an incredibly comfortable winter and the house as been kept at a consistent temperature the whole time which has been a huge quality of life improvement.

Accessing the venue

lots of parking around the corner on Bar lane. About half the indoor pipework and buffer tank is mostly obscured by a worktop.
