We are a retired couple who decided to install a heat pump to replace an ageing gas boiler as we could not contemplate installing another gas-burning replacement with the current environmental concerns.

About this property
Installing the system
The installation required up-grading of the electrical main fuse and an additional consumer unit. An asbestos survey was required due to the presence of Artex. The airing cupboard was totally re-fitted inccluding a new hot water cylinder and additional tanks. All old tanks etc. were removed as part of the installation. The total installation took 5 days.
Living with a heat pump
We love the heat pump and find that we stay warmer for longer without incurring additional costs. There is always plenty of hot water available, particulaly after the weekly sterilisation cycle.
