Grant air source heat pump in a 1920 - 1944 property

Alexander

I installed the heat pump as I thought that the constant heating level and predictable bills would be ideal for a student house, as well as due to a desire to reduce the carbon footprint.

Installing the system

This property is a student house, of which I am landlord. It was installed as part of a full refurbishment, which included larger radiators and some thermal upgrades.

It is a large heat pump with two hot water cylinders, as the house has five bathrooms and six adult occupants.

Living with a heat pump

It is probably too early to say at this point, as it is a very recent installation. However, I will keep this page updated over the winter (and also update anyone who does come to visit) with information about how my student tenants are finding it.
