Single occupant and work at home. The motivation was to remove the gas boiler from bathroom and heat pump was cheaper than getting a new boiler installed in a different location.

Installing the system

The heat pump choice was driven by wanting to remove the gas boiler from the bathroom. Only one additional radiator was required in the lounge. 3 radiators needed to be upsized but this was included in the installation.

The kitchen radiator was moved prior to installation and a towel radiator added (Octopus supplied the towel rail as part of the installation)

The installation took only 2 and half days and the team was very friendly and created minimal disruption.

The water tanks fitted nicely underneath the stairs and has retained some storage space.

Living with a heat pump

The heat pump works as expected, it’s not noisy  and forgot it’s at the side of the house.

Summer running cost appear to be saving on gas as it heats water over night on cheap electric.
