Vaillant air source heat pump in a 1965 - 1982 property

Sam

We decided to install a heat pump as our aging LPG boiler was expensive to run and we wanted to move towards more sustainable energy use in our property. We already had PV panels and home battery installed. We're opening our home as we believe in heat pumps

Installing the system

Heat pump and cylinder installed by Reco Energy, I'd already fitted large radiators throughout. Reco were on-site for 1 week removing an LPG system boiler and old hot water cylinder. The cylinder was relocated and the flow & return of the existing heating loops were connected in to.

Living with a heat pump

So far so good, though our installation was completed in early April 2025, so we've not really tested it in cold weather as yet. Does a great job heating the hot water.
