About me
We were keen to remove gas from the property which we have done. We have 5.5 kw solar pv and a 5kw battery.
We are very happy with the installation and around to have made the change away from fossil fuel

Installing the system
We live in a modern 5 bed house, but only 2 of us. The hot water tank was replaced with a Daiken 300l which provides more than enough hot water. The interal installation was easy and utilised all of the original pipework. We had 4 rads replaced. The heatpump itself has the trunking running up the back of the house and into the loft. The installation took 4 days, but could have been much quicker.
Living with a heat pump
We were cautious about changing from our gas heating boiler, but are glad we did. We haven't been through a winter yet, but are already saving money on our hot water. The pump is very quiet, even when working hard to heat the water. The settings are easy to change and we have already changed them from those left by the installation team.
