Installing the system

The process took around 2 weeks, and as we decided to house the cylinder outside, we had to separately build an insulated shed. The process was pretty painless aside from the lack of hot water for a few days but the team got an backup immersion heater online quickly. There are a few new pipes that need boxing in but other than that the change inside the house is minimal.

Living with a heat pump

The heat pump is totally brilliant. Its silent 90% of the time and when its working you can barely hear it standing next to it, and certainly no noise from within the house. The hot water is as hot as it ever was and now because the incoming pipework was improved our water pressure for our showers is way better than it ever was before.
