Installing the system

Selecting the installer was the hardest part. The big energy companies like Octopus and Scottish Power really don't want to install in older houses. So I went with an excellent local firm.

Installation was a bit tricky as power needed bringing from the fuse box. The rest was straightforward. The external unit is hidden away, not even visible from the kitchen. I've got a nice, warm house.

Living with a heat pump

Fine - but we haven't had it for a winter yet. Water pressure is higher than a combi - very popular among teenagers who like showers.
