Cosy (via Octopus) air source heat pump in a 1965 - 1982 property

About me
I decided install a heat pump for environmental reasons and because my old system was becoming extremely elderly and starting to need a fair bit of maintenance.
I would have found visiting a similar scheme helpful, so the more heat pump there are for people to see in situ, the better, it seems to me.

Installing the system
Living with a heat pump
It was installed in the summer and I haven't, yet, had an opportunity to test it for heating, but for water it's a vast improvement on my old gas boiler, not least because I can control it via an app on my phone from anywhere. (I think there's also an option to control it from an indoor 'mini hub'.)
And for me there were and are lots of other advantages compared with the old gas boiler which also heated water in an airing cupboard tank.
Just by way of example: the new tank is far better isolated; I have decent hot water pressure for the first time; the cold water in the bathroom no longer comes from a tank in the loft and can therefore be regarded as drinking water; and the elderly radiators were all replaced with radiators each fitted with a thermostatic valve and the whole system flushed (an expensive exercise on its own).
One downside is that the airing cupboard is now cooler and I lost two full width shelves. However, as the photos show, I have managed to get some storage and drying space back.
Another is that I don't think the hot water tank would cope well with people wanting a bath one after the other.
