Installing the system
Given the age of the property, only the water cylinder required replacing for a slightly larger one. 28mm pipes were fed under the upstairs floorboards from the heat pump to the water cylinder.
Living with a heat pump
The heat pump has been super effective. It is more efficient than the gas boiler and we have hot water all day for a third of the cost.
