Living with a heat pump
1865 old dairy. Very thick walls. If Scotland is to decarbonise, then older properties need heat pumps, so wanted to find out whether it is possible (spoiler alert - it is! But best not to make the silly mistakes we made). We also have PV panels & an EV, but the heat pump has saved by far the most carbon. Have very full accounts - achieve SCOP of around 4, so 5 x more efficient than a gas boiler.
