The main reason for installing a heat pump was to reduce my carbon footprint and eventually to save money on bills. I hope that allowing others to see it in place will encourage them to do likewise.

Installing the system

Installation was great. I used the company Good Energy. Very knowledgeable and helpful crew. No changes needed apart from getting cables and narrow pipes from the heat pump to inside the house.

Living with a heat pump

Air source heat pump, water cylinder, standard radiators throughout the house, Tado thermostat. Also have 22 solar panels and four batteries. Recently upgraded loft insulation to 270mm. Already had cavity wall insulation.

Accessing the venue

No parking on the street 9-11am. I have a driveway that is usually able to accommodate one car (in addition to mine).
