Living with a heat pump
We have a recently built home (2019) with good insulation that had a gas boiler. We replaced this with an LG ASHP in spring 2022.
Generally we keep the thermostat at 19 C when we’re in and awake, let it get down to 17 C overnight and during the day. Hot water is heated to 52 C. No problems with being cold even when we’ve had prolonged cold periods.
We also have solar PV and battery which easily covers our hot water needs in summer.
