Living with a heat pump
A former pub built in 1883, this end of terrace house has been upgraded with interior solid wall and loft insulation and is now an EPC B rating.
Heating is provided by a Daikin Altherma 3 Air to Water heat pump (9kW EDLA09DA3V3) installed at the front of the property (visible in the image) with a hot water tank in a first floor airing cupboard, all installed by Octopus. All heating is provided by radiators with no underfloor heating.
The total cost to me for the heat pump, hot water tank, new radiators and full installation was £500 (after the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant).
