The Mitsubishi Ecodan 11 kW heat pump was installed in 2019 replacing a gas boiler. The house is a relatively standard cavity wall, loft insulated, double glazed 1970s rural home. The home also has 8 solar PV panels and is run carbon neutrally through behaviour change and a wood burner providing most of the heating. Unusually some of the rooms have fan convector radiators which were installed at the same time as the heat pump but took up less space than the radiators they were replacing. The homeowner is happy to provide professional advice on sizing and installing heat pumps.
