Installing the system

Heat pump installed as part of a full refurbishment of a 100 year old property where no work had been carried out. The electrics had to be upgraded as well as a complete rewire. No central heating installed, had 2 gas fires and open fireplaces. All gas was removed. All floors and ceilings insulated and renewed. The original single glazed, leaded windows were replaced with high efficiency aluminium double glazed windows. The original stained glass and leaded windows fitted within double glazed sealed units. Cavity walls insulated. All pipework replaced and insulated along with all oversized radiators. Heat pump pressurised water tanks and controls fitted in the roof space due to size. Two sets of solar and battery installed to provide neutral electric use over a year, hopefully!

Living with a heat pump

14kW Heatpump for heating and Hot water. Additional whole house insulation including underfloor, cavity wall, ceiling and 900mm roof space. All internal equipment installed in the roof. All radiators replaced. 10.8kW PV Solar with 11kW Battery system. Also have Rainwater harvesting.
Retro fitted to 100 year old property.
