Living with a heat pump
In the Straw Lodge: air source provides all heating via radiators. Hot water is provided by gas, due to it sleeping 30 guests. Air source has made huge savings on gas costs for the year installed.
In the main building, air source provides underfloor heating downstairs, radiators upstairs, and hot water for our cafe.
Both buildings are highly insulated and heating requirements are low as a result.

Message meAccessing the venue
We are open to the public. Our air source heat pumps exist on a large Straw Bale bunkhouse (sleeps 30) and on our main building with office and cafe. One installed in 2021, the other in 2022
