About this property
Installing the system
We made sure we were well insulated before we started getting quotes / surveys. Our installer did most of the prep work including getting us a renewed EPC as ours was about to run out.
Living with a heat pump
Our air source hear pump has operated better than I expected. The house is warnmer than it used to be when we had our combi boiler. I looked into annual running costs and calculated that we saved around £150 per year, but had a warmer house. We still have a gas hob, but our use of gas is now tiny and next step for us is to get an induction hob installed and then cut off the gas, saving us another £120 per year in gas standing charges!
