Retired couple trying to minimise costs by installing efficient heating and power supplies. So far we are doing OK. We are mentioned in the new Discovery Museum exhibition about energy saving. (see pic)

Cost of energy bills per year: below average

Installing the system

Installation took 3 days - old gas boiler and radiators removed - heat pump, hot water cylinder, controls and all new radiators fitted to existing pipework (15mm)

Living with a heat pump

11kW LT Monobloc ASHP & 200L domestic hot water cylinder with new radiators throughout - we also use solar panels and batteries, a solar diverter for hot water and use an off-peak tariff to minimise running costs.
