Installing the system

Installation took just under one week. Our downstairs radiators were replaced. Reco managed to move some of them around to avoid having to purchase too many brand new ones.

Living with a heat pump

The house is consistently warm in winter. I manage to run it at higher temperatures (including hot water) when my energy tariff is cheaper. In the summer, I do hot water in the afternoon to coincide with PV as well.

The only two problems we've had are relatively minor:

  1. We got some error messages coming up during a cool spell in the summer when it was getting confused because the thermostatic radiator valves were all closed.

  1. The Mitsubishi app is absolutely AWFUL (it has barely been updated since 2014) and the wifi add on is a total waste of money. I've decided to make my own app!

I think the immersion heater to do legionnaire is a total waste of money - so if you have any choice in it I'd definitely not bother with this.
