We have solar panels and battery, drive EV’s an ASHP was the last piece. Open to home visits as I believe there are a lot of misconceptions about ASHP’s and I believe that more renewables need to be installed.

Installing the system

We have a 5 bedroom detached house, about 22 years old. About 15 metres we have a single detached garage. We decided to go for the Viessman 8Kw system, Our installation took around 10 days. We requested for the outdoor heat pump unit to be attached to our garage, which added to the cost due to the ground works, but it was definitely worth it as it is larger system than standard outdoor units. The installation process was relatively quite straightforward. About 5 of our radiators had to be changed to larger more efficient types. Our indoor tank was replaced for a larger tank. No real problems during the installation, Libtek were excellent and respond v quickly to any queries.

Living with a heat pump

It’s been good so far, only really had to use the Hot water as Summer is just ending now. Have every confidence the heating will be fine over the cold periods.
