Installing the system

We have replaced a gas boiler and cylinder with a Vaillant Arotherm Plus 5kW heat pump and a new hot water cylinder. What makes this installation less standard is the fact we decided to keep all existing radiators and the original 10mm microbore. The outdoor unit is wall hung (above head height), and we have custom Open Energy Monitoring showing live and historical power usage, temperatures and performance: https://heatpumpmonitor.org/system/view?id=301. Would definitely recommend our installer Mark and all the work took approximately a week.

Living with a heat pump

After the first two months our experience has been very positive: quieter inside and outside (compared to gas), it's already saving us money and we have more space in the utility room.
