Installing the system

Victorian end terrace. We were renovating the property anyway so added insulation and underfloor heating downstairs while we had the existing gas boiler. Heat pump fitting took five days. Hot water and central heating only needed to be off for six hours or so, so we didn't have to stay overnight elsewhere.

Living with a heat pump

It's great. House is always at a perfect and constant temperature. Plenty of hot water. Energy bills comparable to gas heating but we know it will take time to tweak the settings to run it cheaper. It's like having a silent and invisible robot butler.
