Installing the system

The property was a 1950 bungalow which was renovated and converted in to a house with an internal steel frame. It was insulated to a standard and heated with underfloor heating throughout. After an independent heat loss assessment the 8.5 Mitzi Heat pump was selected and installation easily connecting the cylinder and UFH system in the first floor plant room. A dual coil cylinder is installed to accept hot water from the solar thermal system.

Living with a heat pump

Well installed heat pumps and ancillary equipment are excellent and the house benefits from a stable ambient warmth throughout the colder months.
