Installing the system

We have a Mitsubishi Ecodan outdoor unit with Gledhill 145L hot water tank. Heating is all radiators and house has no gas, solar or battery.  The original system was installed by the builder when the property was built 16 years ago so we have not had to make any adjustments to the property ourselves to accommodate a heat pump. However we did have to replace the outside unit about 7 years ago after it froze during an exceptionally cold winter.

Living with a heat pump

The system is currently running using Mitsubishi Auto Adaption for heating control, although over the years I have tried adding eTRVs, third party smart thermostats and full weather compensation for temperature control. I also use Home Assistant for some automation around hot water and heating temps based on agile electricity pricing.

Accessing the venue

We live in a small close and parking can be limited at times. If there isn't any space when you arrive, there is a large church hall car park that you can use on Church Road, near to the entrance to Loxley Close.
