Installing the system

We live in a 3 bedroom semi detached 100m² bungalow, which had a ~30 year old oil boiler which needed to be replaced. Enquired about ASHP mid August, and it was installed in mid October. I had all seven radiators replaced, and I don't have underfloor heating. It was a very simple install which took two days for the bulk of it, with a third day finishing up, and commissioning.

Living with a heat pump

It's pretty good so far. The cold weather is just starting, but I'm confident that it'll cost about the same as, or less than oil to run over the year. As with our previous oil boiler, we do supplement our daily evening heating with a wood burner. To run it efficiently there is a slightly steep learning curve to adjust parameters, but it's okay.
