Installing the system

Installation of the heat pump was part of a significant extension. This allowed us to fit underfloor heating in much of the house. The whole build took nearly a year with the pump fitting in around the rest of the work.

Living with a heat pump

So far so good.

Visiting my heat pump: Riverdene Cottage is a mix of 1824 stone cottage with extensions including a new one which included installing a heat pump. The mix of wall types, radiators and underfloor heating made the calculations difficult with inevitable anxiety over whether it would work.
