We wanted to get off gas (environmental, national security and economics drivers) and the boiler was going to need a major service. Additionally, it seems likely that electricity prices will be adjusted down to incentivise heat pump installation and we wanted to get one before the rush.

Installing the system

The Octopus process was straightforward and support was excellent. The installation team were very professional, cooperative and informative.

Living with a heat pump

All has worked as expected. We had tried a boiler outlet temperature of 50C with the existing radiators before installation, no surprises.
