About me
Passionate about cutting our carbon footprint. Getting rid of the 20 year old gas boiler and running the house on clean green electricity made so much sense. We love our electric cars and whilst our roof is not very suitable for solar panels we have bought shares in Ripple's community wind and solar farms giving us money off our bills.

Installing the system
Some of our radiators had already been swapped for over-sized ones over the years, so there was no additional radiator replacement or addition done at the time. Some extra radiators were recommended in the heat survey but these were optional and we agreed these were probably unnecessary.
We were without hot water for less than 36 hours and without heating for just over a week. During the work we were happy to heat the house with portable electric fires that we had or the fitting company lent us.
Living with a heat pump
We have found the 210 litre hot water tank adequate for 4 people living in the property and it can be reheated from cold in about 45mins.
