Our gas boiler finally packed in after 13 years and it would have been £5k to get a replacement. We figured for a few £k more we'd get a heat pump instead for environmental reasons. It basically "just works" and I think we've bought a great product with Aira and they did an excellent job on design and installation. Any issues we've had since they have been very responsive.

Installing the system

It took 4.5 days (Monday -> Friday just after lunch) to complete the installation, including removing the old gas boiler and combining our dual-zone system into one zone. The Aira installation team were excellent, real craftsmen.

Living with a heat pump

It is working very well indeed. The house is always warm, we've plenty of hot water. It has saved around 30% on our fuel bill compared to last year.
