This is an incredible piece of technology in the fight to decarbonise our homes and we want encourage anyone in a position to afford one and the necessary house upgrades to go for it!

Installing the system

We installed our ASHP as part of a whole-house retrofit including triple glazed windows and insulation throughout. The radiators were all new and sized for the new heating system.

Living with a heat pump

Our energy usage has been slashed since the upgrades to our house and it is now a comfortable temperature at all times. It took time to experiment with the controls to achieve the perfect balance of efficiency and comfort for our needs; however, coming out of our first winter with a much better understanding of how to manage the system we are thrilled with it and would strongly recommend to anyone carrying out extensive works to their house to integrate an ASHP in to the scope.
