About me
I know that it's a bit of a leap signing up to having a heat pump system installed. I'm very eco-minded, and actually work in the environmental sector, but there is a lot of negative information out there. It was the right time for us though; previous gas boiler was nearing the end of its life and we didn't want to sign up to another 12-20 years of gas use.

Installing the system

Quite an easy installation due to existing layout of the property. Very happy to lose the old gas boiler from the kitchen, we have necessary space for the water tank, but the external heat pump unit is a bit of a lump. Installation took about 4.5 days in total, but the team were very good.

Living with a heat pump

Largely good experience. A few tweaks to settings required to optimise the system, but it seems to working well for us. A bit of learning required as to how to get the best out of the system when it's very cold outside.
