My heat pump journey lasted over a year due to delays from Birmingham City Council in dealing with planning applications. Most properties will not require planning permission but mine requires one due to the location of the heat pump being close to my neighbours habitable space. Once the planning permission was granted, everything went very smoothly and fast. Octopus energy applied for the boiler upgrade voucher on my behalf and I was contacted to confirm the application. The voucher was granted the next day and octopus energy booked my installation date to be just in two weeks. The installation took four days and I was provided with electricity heater to use once my gas boiler was disconnected. The installation was very professional and the workers were very good in tidying up after their work. It was a very good experience.

My heat pump is a game changer. My home feels warmer and more comfortable that it was before the installation of the heat pump. My conservatory is now warm even with the cold snap we are experiencing.
