We were looking for an economical way to heat our house and provide day long comfort. As there was no gas and LPG cylinders were very expensive, the ASHP became an affordable option using the RHI funding option. It's been 5 years since installing and we are very happy with the whole system

Installing the system

During renovation, 16 years ago we installed underfloor heating, internal insulation and solar thermal. Since then we have installed further solar panels and a battery storage system.

Living with a heat pump

We use the heat pump for background heating and a log burner for a higher comfort temperature in the evenings.
