Installing the system

We already had pretty good insulation and fairly large radiators, but nothing special, it all predated thinking about heat pumps. No enlargements to central heating pipes.

Installation was during Covid period ( early 2022) shortage of heat pump choices, but accepted Daikin ( our original choice was unavailable at time of fitting). No regrets.

Some Covid related delays, and a few weeks on a waiting list, but most work done over a couple of weeks.

Living with a heat pump

Heat pump heats this 1930s house and water well in all weathers. People comment how cosy it feels. Gas supply now removed.

Accessing the venue

Street parking available free. Metro nearby West Jesmond Station. Newcastle bus Q3 stops nearby. Central station Newcastle has metro station within it.
