Three radiators changed as all had been renewed 2-years previous. It took 4.5 days to complete the work with a team of up to 5 at various times. Previous 60 lit hot water tank in airing cupboard too small so 250 lit tank installed in garage. Has doubled space in airing cupboard but lost space in garage. Cold water loft tank removed by installers increasing loft space. Water pressure increased to 1.5 bar from HP gives high pressure shower. Cost of installation £3220 with £7500 Gov grant and Daikin discount.

We are retired so HP on all day with rooms at 21 deg. Reduce to 19 deg overnight but back up to 21 deg at 3am for morning arising at 7-30. We also have PV solar panels so the HP hardly operates from May to September. Hot water supplied by PV via immersion heater. We have Economy 7 heating tarif rather than Octopus Cosy as latter more expensive. Energy saving calculated over 11 months in 2024 41% over former condensing gas boiler. Cost increase 5.5p per day.
