We wanted to stop burning gas for environmental reasons, and with the government grant it made sense to do it now. It would have helped us to visit a heat pump beforehand, so we think this is a good scheme to be part of.

Installing the system

The installation took a week, during which we had no hot water for 2 days and no heating for 4 days, but with a log stove and the supplied heaters we were able to keep warm enough even in January. The install team worked hard to do a quality job, despite difficulties caused by the small size of our tank cupboard.

Living with a heat pump

We're happy with how the pump is working for our hot water and heating. Too early to do a meaningful comparison on costs yet.
