Installing the system

Installation was complete within one week. The gas supply to the house was disconnected and the gas meter removed to avoid a gas standing charge. A monitoring card was purchased later to interface with my phone. A CT clamp was fitted to the heat pump electrical supply for independent monitoring of energy draw.

Living with a heat pump

The heat pump inside unit was installed in place of the former gas boiler with the outside unit on the other side of the wall. The old hot water tank was retained.
