About me
We want to have as efficient a home as possible. Our gas combi boiler was going to need replacing soon and our hot tank had a slow leak. With the government grant it made sense to make the switch.

Installing the system

We first had an EV charger and then solar and battery storage via Project Solar. We then had our air source heat pump and hot water cylinder via Octopus.

The installation was efficient and mostly tidy. Gas to the property capped off and no more gas standing charge!

Tank is in our upstairs airing cupboard and expansion tank is in the loft.

Living with a heat pump

We’re only now getting used to not having a combi boiler. It’s really strange not hearing the boiler whooshing on and off!
