About me
In my 50’s, I work from home. We needed to have a new boiler and water tank as we were having significant issues with our old system. We ended up making the decision based on worries about the future of gas charges. Happy to open up our home because I want to be able to share our experience and know how difficult it was not being able to speak to others. Lots of people give views but they typically are working on other peoples assumptions etc.

Installing the system

We located the new water tank into our garage. The water tank in our airing cupboard was removed along with all the tanks in the loft. ASHP was situated down side of property. We had the gas meter removed. We do have solar panels. Running Octopus Cost Tariff

Living with a heat pump

It is a learning curve. I probably have learned more about my new heating system in the last 6 months than I ever did with our old. It has worked better than we expected. We’ve had a warmer home this winter and it’s saved us money.
