About me
With the government grant, it cost us only £400 to have our heat pump system installed. We are hoping to have solar in the future so this is the first step on that journey.

Installing the system

Installation with octopus was simple from start to finish. They started on Monday and finished Wednesday afternoon with a final check on the Thursday morning. We opted for the black pipe cladding to match the gutter pipes and chose the driveway in a location between two car spaces. We didn’t need any radiators changed as property is already very efficient as a new build from 2019.

Living with a heat pump

The heat pump has successfully maintained a comfortable temperature which is important living with a toddler. Hot water is sufficient for 2 adults and 1 toddlers bath and we have seen our overall energy consumption improve. We also had the gas meter removed so no longer have a standing charge or gas usage
