About me
I decided to get a heat pump as for the last two years the energy prices for gas has been so much. I have not been able to put the heating on in my house in my home. I needed a more efficient system and with the Boiler upgrade scheme grant it just made sense. My old gas boiler was 20 years old. It was time for a change. I didn’t want to go back to gas due to the cost so I looked at something different and the fuel pump seemed the best option for me.

Installing the system

We installed new F2 radiators ourselves. The installers Ecofuelled were very good and efficient the installation took 2 days.It took a couple of weeks for the building to be correctly heated up. I found it complicated figuring out how much it was costing me. But I figured it out in the end I went onto MELCloud. I added both the hot water and the heating usage together in kilowatts and I multipliedit by my tariff rate. It ended up that in November as you can see from the photo I was spending approximately £3 per day for heating and hot water. I have a 250ltr tank which is more than enough even when a bath is used.
