Installing the system

Our house was built in 2022, and came with solar panels and a gas boiler installed. We decided to upgrade to an air source heat pump and to add a solar battery, to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
We needed a new hot water cylinder and two radiator changes.
Octopus installed the heat pump, and did a very professional job.

Living with a heat pump

Our heat pump was up and running by day 3 of the install. It has worked perfectly from the moment it was installed. Our house is now consistently warm, rather than hot/cold/hot/cold with the gas boiler. We always have enough hot water for three or four showers or baths per day.
Our primary focus was cutting down on fossil fuel use, however we are also seeing a reduction in our energy bills.

Accessing the venue

Our property is in a cul-de-sac on a new build housing estate. It will be best for our neighbours if you park a couple of streets away and walk to our house. There is plenty of parking nearby, especially alongside the secondary school.
