Installing the system
Installed in early January 2023, taking 5 days to complete the work. We had most radiators replaced with double ones (same dimensions for width and hight), but we didn't alter pipework, including microbore.
Old oil boiler and tank removed in the process, and new larger hot water cylinder installed. Changing heating in the winter, especially the coldest week of the year, is not ideal, and family had to be out for a couple of days, despite best efforts of installers to provide heat and hot water.

Living with a heat pump
We have an air source heat pump installed alongside a solar diverter for hot water, with solar PV and battery storage. We have a mixture of pipe sizes, but have not replaced these. Instead we have larger radiators in some rooms and a low loss header to allow two circuits to work more effectively.
