We made the choice to install a heat pump due to the Ukraine conflict (heat pumps for peace is a common sentiment on the continent) and due to wishing to not own any fossil fuel burning devices. Experiencing someone else's heat pump made us realise that this was a good choice in terms of personal benefits (comfort and cost).

Installing the system

In a small 2 bedroom house the installation process is not a simple task. It is 5 days but the house was useable between 4pm and 8am. If you have young children at home (like we did) it's advisable to find alternative options for these hours.

Living with a heat pump

It's simply a far better system than what we had before. The house is warmer and combined with a time-of-use tariff it's far cheaper to run. We are making substantial yearly savings which out weigh the upfront investment.

Accessing the venue

It's a restricted parking zone. There are limited availability of free parking spaces opposite my house and nearby.
