What I will say is - I don't believe a heat pump is a solution for every home. For that, Hydrogen may be the alternative. But I believe being sustainable and climate conscious choices / investments is the way forward for everyone. Not just for the planet - (although that is the main reason) - but for your pocket too. I wouldn't advocate getting a heat pump without the grant - as this makes it a serious consideration, without, they are simply too expensive to make sense for most.

Installing the system

We have a fairly new property (2016) which was built with solar, which made the prospect of a heat pump even more appealing.

The Octopus team - whether this be from the sales side, or the installation team / boots on the ground were fantastic. The quality of work was top notch and they definitely knew their stuff. Any questions or concerns I had, that many other companies didn't know the answers to at the sales stage, were immediately answered.

It was commissioned within 3 days, final touches on the 4th day.

Living with a heat pump
